Welcome to the market place seminar’s website which UIC, the International Union of Railways, and FIATA, the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations, jointly organize!
The market place seminar is a platform which aims to create opportunities for increased cooperation and business development within the rail sector by offering a common platform for railway undertakings, freight forwarders and customers.
This year the seminar will be organized in Istanbul and it will focus on Rail Transport Connecting Continents. Future markets of rail transport between South-Eastern Europe and Turkey will be highlighted as well as Turkey’s rail potential as a bridge towards Middle East and Asia.
TCDD, the Turkish state railway, and UTIKAD, Freight Forwarders & Logistics Service Providers Association in Turkey, will co-organize the seminar together with FIATA and UIC. The conferences will take place on 22-23 October 2009 at the Sürmeli hotel.
